Kefee’s Corpse Arrives Nigeria

Six days after the demise of famous Nigerian singer, Kefee, her corpse has finally arrived Nigeria from the United States where she gave up the ghost.

According to reports, the remains of the late singer arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos via a Delta Airline aircraft on Tuesday, 17 June, 2014, ahead of her burial expected to hold later this month.

It was gathered that Kefee's body was received by a few members of her family when it arrived Nigeria at 4pm.

However, it was unconfirmed if Teddy Don-Momoh, husband of the late singer came into the country with the corpse.

Teddy was by with his late wife in the US before she passed away.

It could be recalled that Kefee died on Friday, June 13 2014, after being in a coma for 15 days.

A statement released by her UK manager informed that the singer died as a result of lungs failure and denied rumours that she was carrying a six months pregnancy.

Meanwhile, a celebration of life and memorial service is scheduled to hold on Thursday in California in memory of the late Kefee.

It could be recalled that the late singer’s ex-husband Alec Godwin stated  that  he’s yet to come to terms with her death some days ago.

"Is there any concrete confirmation? I’m still hoping it’s not true", Godwin reportedly told a reporter over the phone.

Alec’s marriage to Kefee collapsed in 2008.

Alec and Kefee met in 1999 at a local church in Warri, and years later Alec signed Kefee to his record label, which housed other acts like his sister Estee and Edo-born singer Rhymzo.

The couple ended their three-year marriage in 2008 after protracted marital problems.
