See PHOTOS From Amaka Igwe's Service of Songs

The service of songs for Veteran movie producer Amaka Igwe who passed away on April 29, from asthma attack held yesterday, June 9 at the Havens Event Center, Ikeja GRA.

Top celebrities in the like of Onyeka Onwenu, Richard Mofe Damiko, Kunle Bantafe, Iretiola Doyle, Ego Boyo and a host of others graced the event.

During the event, tribute continued to pour for the late Amaka who was well known in the Nigerian movie industry.

The tribute session was anchored by RMD and Iretiola Doyle.

Following her death, her husband Mr Charles Igwe while speaking with delegates from the National Executive of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) blamed doctors for her death, saying if there was no Doctors Strike his wife would be alive.

A tribute website was launched in her honour. The website www.amakaigwe.ng was created for goodwill messages and pictures.
