Man Remanded For Allegedly Raping 13-Year-Old Girl
One Usman Muhammad, was on Friday remanded by a Gusau Senior Magistrates' Court, Zamfara State, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.

The accused, who resides in Tashar Magami Area in Gusau, conspired with his friend Usman Musa, and took the young girl to Gusau Guest Inn at Mortgage Area, where they both had unlawful canal knowledge of her.
Inspector Yakubu Abuga, the police prosecutor had earlier told the court that on May 7, Mr Bashiru Muhammad, the father of the girl, who resides at Tudun Wada Area of the metropolis came and reported the case at the Central Police Station, Gusau.
The prosecutor said that the offence was contrary to Section 97 and 283 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Senior Magistrate Bello Kucheri ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody, and adjourned the case to June 16 for mention.
