Shema Explains His Government Will soon Arrange Elections

Katsina State governor, Gov. Ibrahim Shema has revealed that his government has arranged blueprints on how the local government will be held in the state.

He revealed this today in a public message to his Katsina state citizens as they celebrated the 2014 Democracy Day.

There are 4 local government councils run by Caretaker Committees since the expiration of the tenure of elected officials since 2011.

Shema said:‘’By next week, you will hear all arrangements about the conduct of the local government polls in our 34 local government areas,’’ he said.

Shema noted that the elections will finally give his states indigenes an opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of democracy at the grassroots.

He also said that his government will always continue to make laws which will improve the lives of its citizens and then he thanked them for their support for the past 7 years.
