My Wife's Pregnancy Pushed Me To Traffic Drugs

A 39 year old Anambra based man has been arresteed by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 2.54 kilogrammes of cocaine disguised as laptops.

The man, Okeke Olisa Uzochukwu was caught during inward screening of Etihad Airlines’ passengers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).

NDLEA MMIA commander Mr. Hamza Umar confirmed the arrest and said: “Our officers have apprehended one Okeke Olisa Uzochukwu in connection with importation of cocaine.

The drug was concealed inside lap-top bags. It was carefully packed in a way that we had to cut the side of the bag to recover the two parcels containing powdery substances that tested positive for cocaine.”

Uzochukwu revealed to the security agency that he had travelled to Brazil few months ago to acquire work as a constructor for the world football event facilities.

He could not find a job and after exhausting all his savings he decided to go to the extreme and traffic drugs

He revealed that his wife's pregnancy pushed him to the crime of drug trafficking and his sponsors gave him an offer of N800,000 that he couldn't refuse.
