Jonathan signs Budget, hands it over to Okonjo-Iweala

I has been officially confirmed by President's Special Adviser Reuben Abati that Goodluck Jonathan has signed 2014 budget and handed it over to the Finance Minister and Budget Office Director for implementation.

The official provided this information today, May 23, to Punch correspondent.

Speaking on the issue, Abati said that Finance Minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was not present during the budget signing, on Wednesday.

"The President actually signed the 2014 Budget two days ago. But you know that the Minister of Finance was not in town. So he needed to hand over to her and the Director Budget for onward transmission. That was what he did today." said Abati.
