Military Kill 60 Suspected Insurgents In Jigawa

Nigerian Joint Task Force (JTF) reportedly killed at least 60 suspected insurgents in Wednesday night shooting at Lamba Forest, Gwaram LGA, Jigawa State.

According to Vanguard, the Director of Press to the Jigawa State governor, Malam Umar Kyari, in Dutse, explained that the suspected Boko Haram members planted a bomb along the forest road on Monday and it went off having killed 3 soldiers.

Thus on May 14, 2014, Wednesday, the military force reportedly launched the attack on the forest and killed scores of insurgents.

He was quoted saying in the official report:

"Around eleven o’clock of Wednesday night, the military commander who lead the operation, told the state governor that over sixty copses of the insurgent were found scatted in the forest."
