Malala Speaks On Nigerian Girls: 'Girls In Nigeria Are My Sisters'

Malala, advocate for girls educations, calls the abducted girls in Chibok her sisters.

An International advocate for girls education, a two-time nominee for Nobel Peace Prize, Malala Yousafzai calls the kidnapped school girls in Chibok her sisters.

In an interview to CNN she revealed her thoughts when she learned the news, she said she felt she had to speak up because her sisters were in prison. Malala underlined that we are all members of the same community and thus we hold the responsibility for each other’s safety.

When she was asked how she felt when she watched the video of Boko Haram leader saying that he would sell the abducted girls she started by explaining why she thinks these Islamists do not know Koran and Abuse Islam. Malala thinks that they have not learned it enough due to the fact that the meaning of the word “Islam” is “Peace” and they seem to have forgotten it. Moreover, she tells they should learn Koran as it encourages people to read.

Malala also encourages them to think of these girls as their sisters, and no one should under any circumstances hurt their sisters.
