2015 appeared to be the year Nigerian celebrities had been waiting for to tie the knot, with many of them leaving behind their single lives to cleave to their significant other forever. Legit.ng brings you the top celebrity weddings of 2015 that got us talking and awww-ing!
1. Kas
Nigerian singer Karounwi Olakunle Shobayo popularly known as Kas opened the 2015 celebrity wedding door when he finally married the mother of his two kids, Tare Jonathan, on January 10 at a private wedding which had some industry friends in attendance.
2. Omawumi and Tosin Yusuf
Bottom Belle singer, Omawumi, finally legalized her union with the father of her kids, Tosin Yusuff, on January 17 at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos after three years of being together.
3. Paul Okoye and Anita Isama
Despite the grand traditional wedding held in March 2014, one half of Psquare, Paul Okoye, earlier this year formalized his marriage to ex-beauty queen Anita Isama. The couple married at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos on January 22.
4. Mimi Orjiekwe and Charles Billion
Two years after proposing to her during a vacation in Tanzania, Nollywood actor Charles Billion married his fiancée and fellow actor, Mimi Orjiekwe. The Nollywood couple had their traditional wedding in Umuelem village in Enugu state on Saturday, July 18.
5. Mofe Duncan and Jessica Kakkad
Nollywood actor and TV personality Mofe Duncan married his girlfriend of many years, Jessica Kakkad, in August. The couple had their traditional wedding on August 20 while their white wedding was held in Lagos on Saturday, August 22.

6. Damilola Adegbite and Chris Attoh
Tinsel couple, Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite, had their wedding on Valentine’s Day, few months after the birth of their son in Ghana. Chris, a Ghanaian, had proposed to Damilola on a boat cruise in Manhattan, New York City.
7. IK Ogbonna and Sonia Morales
Nollywood actor Ik Ogbonna earlier this year had a private wedding with his Columbian fiancée, Sonia Morales, on June 29, weeks after the birth of their son, in Belgrade, Serbia.
8. Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodalo
This was one of the biggest weddings of 2015. The couple began their journey to holy matrimony with a traditional wedding in Benin on June 20. They later had their white wedding in New York on Saturday, July 4. Like the Attohs, Gbenro and Osas met on the set of the TV series Tinsel.
9. Dolapo Oni and Gbite Sijuade
The royal wedding between TV girl Dolapo Oni and her boo Adegbite Sijuade, the son of late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, was one of the grandest of 2015. Their traditional wedding was on Sunday, August 2 in Lagos despite the death of the Ooni. The couple had their white wedding in London on Saturday, October 10.
10. Tonto Dikeh and Oladunni Churchill
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh got hooked to her boo, Churchill Oladunni, on Saturday, August 29 at an exclusive ceremony in Port Harcourt. The couple is expected to hold their white wedding sometime in 2016, maybe after the birth of their first child. Tonto has already named her best friend, stylist Swanky Jerry, as her gentleman of honor.

11. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Cynthia Obianodo
Media personality, Ebuka officially proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Cynthia Obianodo. The couple had their traditional wedding in Anambra state on Saturday, October 3. Ebuka and Cynthia met through Cynthia’s brother who doubles as Ebuka’s friend.
12. Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro
Celebrity couple Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro had their white wedding on Sunday, November 1, 2015. The couple had legalized their union on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Ikoyi marriage registry. The family introduction was on August 22.
13. Chuddy K and Rachael
Nigerian singer, Chukwudi Ken Agali better known as Chuddy K got married his girlfriend of four years on Friday, October 9 at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos.
14. LKT and Abiodun
LKT got married to his long time girlfriend, Abiodun on Friday, October 2 at Ikoyi registry, Lagos. Their traditional wedding ceremony took place on Saturday, October 10.
15. Jodie and David Nnaji
KuchiKuchi (Oh Baby) singer and Nigerian Idol runner up, Jodie got married in a traditional way on Saturday, October 31 in Warri to popular Nollywood actor and her manager David Nnaji. The singer who believes premarital sex is wrong got engaged in September.

16. DJ Xclusive & Tinuke
Rotimi Alakija, popularly known as DJ Xclusive, got married to his beautiful girlfriend, Tinuke, in October. While they held their traditional wedding on October 2, their white wedding was on Saturday October 3.
17. Susan Peters and Dr Croon
Celebrated Nollywood actress Susan Peters officially married her Dutch boyfriend Dr Koen Croon on Saturday, October 10 at the Ikoyi Registry, Lagos. They had their traditional marriage in Benue state on Saturday, October 24.
18. Olaide Olaogun and Babatunde Ojora
Nollywood actress Olaide Olaogun on Thursday, December 3 married her heartthrob, Babatunde Ojora, in Lagos.
19. Ikechukwu Odife
Award winning Nollywood movie director Ikechukwu Odife on December 5 had his traditional wedding to his long-time girlfriend. It was well attended by families, friends and colleagues in the movie industry.
20. Akpororo
Fast rising comedian cum gospel singer Akpororo tied the knot with his sweetheart in November. The couple exchanged marital vows at the Ikoyi Registry on Thursday, November 5, with their traditional wedding on Friday, November 13, in Ibadan.
21. Tosyn Bucknor
Tosyn Bucknor and Aurélien Boyer got married on Sunday November 15th 2015 at Landmark Events Centre, Oniru. The couple got engaged in August after dating for two years.
