US Actress Angelina Jolie Condemns Chibok Girls Abduction

Top-notch American actress Angelina Jolie called the abduction of over 230 Chibok girls by Boko Haram insurgents an "unthinkable cruelty and evil", AFP reports.

Speaking in Paris about her latest movie "Maleficent", Hollywood diva, who has also been indulged in humanitarian and charity activities for years, said:

"Sadly of course there is real evil in the world, you watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty. And it's unthinkable cruelty like these girls that were kidnapped in Nigeria."

Hundreds of school girls were abducted in the April 14 night raid on Chibok, Borno State. The Islamic sect leader Abubakar Shekau yesterday released the video in which he claimed responsibility for the kidnap and promised to sell the victims in the market.

The new video has increased fears that the girls have been ferried to the neigbouring countries.
