Lagos Police Arrest Suspected Murderer Of APC Youth Leader

The Police Command of Lagos State announced the arrest of the suspected murderer of APC youth leader, Kunle Awotunde.

This has been confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the spokesperson, DSP Ngozi Braide, on May 3, 2014, Saturday.

The suspect was reportedly apprehended at his hideout on Saturday.

A community leader and white cap chief in the area, Chief Lateef Ajose, narrated about the continued shootings every night after Awotunde’s killing, appealed to the security agencies to beef up security in the area.

He noted that the residents are desperate, ready to address the governor, Oba of Lagos, the police and the council for their intervention.

The youth leader of Nigeria’s main opposition force was reportedly killed by unknown hoodlums during a gunfight at Ilogbo in Ebute Meta area of Lagos Mainland on April 29, 2014 Tuesday. The police are currently investigating the cause of the death of the politician.
