Ex-Prisoner Can’t Unseat Me – Governor Aregbesola
The forthcoming governorship set to hold on August 9 has been filled with high hopes and expectations of who would emerge governor for Osun state.
Well despite Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) plans to flush out Governor of Osun state Rauf Aregbesola, the governor has said that their plan will fail as he stated that he cannot be unseat by a politician, who was allegedly rigged into the senate from the prison as he is not fit to contest in the first place.
The governor made this statement in Osogbo on Monday at the inauguration of 21 Roads Projects constructed by his administration.
He said, “God dethroned a general who fought in Monrovia, Mogadishu and in other war torn countries and now a former prisoner wants to unseat me. It is impossible’
“The general, who was sacked here was not a prisoner. It amuses me that a former prisoner, who went to the senate from prison is now the one threatening to unseat me.
“He did not win. The poll was rigged because our fathers were peace loving but they cannot try that now. If they attempt to rig, they will regeret it. Let me tell you, there are some people who are not even qualified to contest any election, let alone think of winning. Don’t be afraid of them.
“He is not fit to be a councillor because he did not win his ward. He cannot contest and win.”
