Two members of the Eiye fraternity were assaulted by the rival Aiye group and killed on Sunday night in Ijebu Ode local government area of Ogun State, western Nigeria.
The incident happened after the PDP financier in Ogun state, Prince Buruji Kashamu, had given them uncertain amount of money at the party programme in Ijebu Ode on Saturday.
Immediately after the event when it came time for sharing largesse several representatives of both groups started to fight. Eventually the people from the Eiye group went away with the money and on the following day two of them were killed.
According to the eyewitness, the Aiye members tracked the young man that ran away with the money and later he was killed at the 9/11 lounge and bar, along Adeola Odutola Road. The other man was mercilessly shot at close range right in the chest at Oju Ega Area, off Idomowo street, Ijebu Ode.
"No one could say what transpired between them. Now their members have vowed to retaliate and you know what that means in Ijebu-Ode," the eyewitness said.
