Northern Governors Expressed Condolence Over Death of Sambo's Brother

Governors of Northern states expressed their condolences over death of younger brother of Vice President Namadi Sambo, Captain Yusuf Sambo.

The NSGF, Northern State Governors’ Forum, with chairman Gov. Babagida Aliyu of Niber, said on Monday: “We feel and share in your grief. Take heart.”

Capt. Yusuf Sambo, the younger brother of the Vice President died in a car accident on the Bill Clinton drive Airport Road Abuja, on Sunday.

According to the forum, they emphasized that the best tribute to his life would be if memory of him continued to touch lives positively. They added that the deceased Capt. Yusuf made an impact on the aviation industry where he worked as a pilot for a long time, and he changed the life of his family.

The forum also prayed for the Vice President and his family to find power to bear the loss and they prayed for the eternal rest of the soul of the departed.

The Chief Press Secretary of the Senate President, Paul Mumeh, stated that Nigeria had lost its great pilot and an officer of impeccable reputation.

The senate also prayed for eternal rest for the soul and the grace to bear the loss for the family.

 

Earlier, President Goodluck Jonathan expressed his condolence to Namadi Sambo.
