Three Brothers Nabbed For Robbery Confess To Crime

Three blood brothers and seven others have been arrested and paraded by the Ondo state police for their involvement in robbery.

The robbery suspects were arrested by police detectives in Ondo State following a tip-off by some people in the area.

The names of the accused who all confessed to being members of a gang of armed robbers terrorising the people of Ondo town and its environs were given as Sherif Olamoyegun, 18, Olamoyegun Jelili, 20 and Wasiu Olamoyegun 24 years, all blood brothers, while the others are Bunmi Adewale, 39, Sunday Tosin, 19, Kabiru Lateef ,20, Elusakin Samuel, 20 and Niyi Adesiyan, 20.

The police recovered one cut-to-size single barrel gun, one expended cartridge, one UTC axe, one cutlass, hammer, one sword, knife, Army belt and a complete pair of Vigilante Group of Nigeria uniform from the robbers.

According to the Police Commissioner, Isaac Eke the suspects on interrogation confessed to the crime.

He said the gang robbed the entire household of one Adeyemi Olubanke of no 1 Olabomowo street Ibitayo estate Ondo at gunpoint and made away with a Toyota Hiace bus marked  KTU 477AH belonging to St. Stephen Cathedral Church.

He however said the church bus has been recovered by the Police.

Eke also noted that investigation is still on to arrest other fleeing members of the gang.
