Gunmen kill One In Delta
One Kpufman Migagan, a vigilante group leader was on Tuesday killed by gunmen in Otokutu junction, Ughelli-South Local Government Area of Delta State.
A source who didn't want his name published, said Migagan was shot dead during a gun battle with the assailants.
He said the vigilante leader died inside the car conveying him and his members to Warri.
The deceased was the Chairman of Igbudu Market Vigilance Group in Warri.
Migagan was shot dead five days after the Chairman of Udu Vigilance Group, Proper Erhinyojare, was killed at Udu, near Warri, by yet to be identified assailants.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed the incident.
"The vigilance group leader was killed on the DSC expressway in Ughelli-South Local Government Area" she said. "One of the assailants also died on the spot. Their corpses have been deposited at a morgue in Udu".
The force spokesperson said investigation into the incidents had be reopened.
