Champions League: Arsenal Survive Exit Scare
Arsenal kept their Champions League knock out stages hopes alive with a huge win while Lionel Messi produced a masterclass pull-out as Barca tormented AS Roma.

Bayern Munich's impressive home form continued while Dynamo Kiev won at Porto to open up top spot at group G. Willian scored another freekick as Chelsea finally won two consecutive games this season.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Dinamo Zagreb: Lost to Zagreb and Arsenal miss out on a last 16 champions league place for the first time since 1999. Bayern Munich 4 - 0 Olympiakos: Bayern Munich's impressive home record in the Champions League continued. Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Koman were amongst the goals. Even Holger Badstuber's red card couldn't stop the German machines.

FC Porto 0 - 2 Dynamo Kyiv: Dynamo Kiev did Chelsea a whole lot of favor by defeating FC Porto away. Andriy Yormolenko (penalty) and Derlis Gonzalez ensure three points for the Ukranians. The mission for Chelsea now will be to defeat Porto in the last group game to ensure top spot in group G.

Maccabi Tel Aviv 0 - 4 Chelsea: Willian scored another freekick (he is really good at those) as Chelsea recorded a routine and morale boosting win over bottom of the group Maccabi. Chelsea were sometimes too good and fans would wonder why they cannot produce this sort of performance week in, week out. Jose Mourinho looked a relieved man on the touchlines by the way.


Zenit St. Petersburg 2 - 0 Valencia: Zenit's 100% record in the Champions league group stage this season was maintained through goals from Oleg Shatov and Artem Dyzuba.

Zenit will top the top come end of match day six while Valencia need a huge win in their next match to qualify for the knock out stages.
Lyon 1 - 2 Gent: Lyon are out of the champions league this season. Jordan Ferri got Lyon to a flyer but goals from Danijel Milicevic and Kalifa Coulibaly dumped Lyon out of the Champions league.

Gent meanwhile move up to second position on the table but just one point above Valencia who are in third and occupying the Europa League spot.
