Famous Kannywood Actress Mai Aya Has Died
A much-loved Kannywood actress Hajia Hafsat Sharada has died.
She died in the early hours of Tuesday, November 17 after suffering from a brief illness. She was 70 years old.
Popularly known as Mai Aya, she was the oldest female actress in the Kannywood.
Her most recent movie was Hajia Babba, which also starred Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki.

Falalu Dorayi, a family member, colleague and film director, who confirmed Mai Aya's death said the Kannywood industry is in a somber mood at the moment.
He said: "We received the news of Mai Aya's death with shock. I personally was traumatised because she is like a mother to all of us. I rushed to her house in Sharada the moment I received the shocking news"
Mai Aya will be remembered in Kannywood for her comedic roles. She was also like a mother to many in the industry.
