My Citizens Security Is Still My Number One Task - Gov. Al-Makura
Nasarawa state governor Umaru Al-Makura has today declared that his administration won't risk the lives and property of his citizens and they will keep on trying to secure his people.
He made sound remark during a courtesy visit by the Benue Committee on Conflict Resolution and Peace Building in Lafia.
He said the recent issues of security in the state where due to opportunist, and he will never make a law or give an order which will negatively affect the lives and properties of his people.
He said:“These problems are not problems emanating from indigenes of Benue against indigenes of Nasarawa.
“It is not even the boundary conflict that is causing these problems, it is rather coming as a result of something that has become opportunistic,”.
He assured them that his administration would never back insurgency in the area and praised the Benue Committee on Conflict Resolution and Peace Building for how much time and energy they have invested in looking for end to trans-border clashes in the two states.
He also compared the ethnic militia groups in the state to insurgents saying their actions are no different from insurgent.
