Man Remanded In Prison Over Friend’s Death

An Ebute Metta court, yesterday remanded Nurudeen Adio in prison for stabbing his friend, Lateef Jimoh to death.

Nurudeen Adio was said to have stabbed the deceased during a fight at 6:30pm in Amukoko area of Lagos state.

Apparently the fight which led to the death of the deceased was as a result of who should have a bigger share of the N800 they collected from a motorist.

32-year-old Nurudeen and 33-year-old Lateef worked as park touts.

The offence is punishable under Section 221, while the magistrate, Mr .O. O. Olatunji, ruled that the accused be remanded in prison custody pending the DPP’s advice.
