Three Pregnant Teens Rescued From Baby Factory In Ogun; Building Burnt

Three teenage pregnant girls were rescued from a ‘baby factory’ in Adigbe community of Abeokuta, Ogun State. A female operator of the factory was subsequently arrested by the police.

Items recovered from the Abeokuta house at Soas Estate included cowries, a calabash containing black soap, and various white garments.

According to Premium Times, the place was uncovered after one of the captives escaped from the house. Abia State born teenage girl subsequently went around seeking alms from neighbours to enable her return to her state. She also claimed that she had no idea where she was.

The concerned neighbours, after realising the trouble the young woman got into, have immediately alerted the police.

The police raided the house on the night of April 2, 2014, Wednesday, arrested a suspect, identified as Muyibat Yusuf. Two other captives have been rescued.

Meanwhile, on the next day an angry mob, made up of mostly students who live in the neighbourhood, set the house ablaze along with two cars parked within its compound (pictured).

However, some of them were later arrested for arson.

According to neighbours, the owner of the mansion lives abroad.

A resident of the area, Tunde George, told the reporters that neighbours had always been suspicious of the house, as its generating set was always on, even when there was electricity supply from the power company.

He alleged hat a busy area in front of the building was used for ritual activities by the occupants of the house.

To strengthen these words, the police revealed that some “fetish materials” were found at the scene of the crime (pictured below).

It would be noted that the latest discovery occurs less than two weeks after 8 pregnant women were rescued from a similar factory in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

It's a sad fact that such sort of criminal activities keep florishing around Nigeria. Thus, Abia State Police Command has liquidated another baby factory in Umuabuwa village, Osisioma Local Government Area of the state.
