Wamakko Urges Nigerians To Pray To Expose Those Behind Insecurity In Nigeria
On Saturday, Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Wamakko called for prayers to expose those behind insecurity in Nigeria. He also called for God's intervention in the socio-economic and political activities of the country.
Wamakko made the call when he addressed members of All Progressives Congress (APC) on his return to Sokoto after a two-week official trip to the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
He said the nation was in dire need of prayers for the restoration of peace across the country. The governor added that Nigerians should seek God's intervention over the prevailing security challenges affecting some parts of the country. He urged the people to pray for peace, progress and political stability of the country.
The governor said prayer was the only solution to the nation's challenges as it would expose those behind the security crisis in the country.
Wamakko called on Nigerians to be their brothers' keepers by living in peace with one another.
He appealed to Nigerians to assist the security agencies with intelligence reports that could lead to the arrest of criminals. He held that time had come for security consciousness among the people.
The governor said that the fight against criminals and restoration of peace should not be left in the hands of the security agencies alone.
