Married Man Allegedly Kills Lover In A Hotel, Flees Afterwards

A married man has been arrested by the Oyo state Police over his involvement in the death of his alleged lover.

Apparently the man who is married with children took his lover to a popular guest house located at Jaremily area along Ilora road, area of the state.

They both arrived at the hotel around 7pm where they lounged in one of the rooms.

However, workers at the hotel became suspicious after the man and his lover refused to lounge out of the hotel even after their stay had expired.

This led to them checking the room where the found the lifeless body of the woman inside the bathroom with water showering on her head but the man was no where to be found.

The police was immediately alerted of the incident which led to the arrest of the owner of the guest house.

Fortunately the Police were able to get the address of the accused's house at Winners area of the town where he lives with his wife and children.

The wife who was at home at the time revealed that her husband had travelled out of the town and would spend few days before returning.

The police not convinced with her statement were said to have arrested both the wife and children and taken them to the station pending the appearance of the husband.

The accused, however. appeared at the station after one of his relatives, a military personnel, based  in Ibadan, he had run to advised he reported himself to the police.

According to examinations conducted on the corpse it showed that the hair of her armpit and pubic hair had been shaved.

A police officer said that the matter be transferred to the Homicide section at Iyaganku in Ibadan for further investigations.
