Imo increases security around Govt House in Owerri due to BZF threats.

Imo State government has announced the decision to beef up security in and around Government House, Owerri.

This development is a reaction to the treat of the Biafra Zionist Federation (BZF), a faction of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), which threatened to hoist its flag at the Government Houses of the South East states.

According to LEADERSHIP Friday, stern looking security agents now man the entrance of Imo Government House and some strategic places in the state to avoid being caught napping by the Biafran group.

Imo state government urged the people of the state not to panic, assured that their lives and property would be protected.

It would be recalled that the BZF, which admitted being responsible for the attack at the Government House of Enugu State, had also said in the media that their next target is Owerri.
