A Sister Of the Commissioner For Sports, Abducted In Bayelsa

Unknown gunmen reportedly abducted Joyce Ebua, a sister of the Commissioner for Sports, Mitema Obodor, yesterday in Oloibiri, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State.

It would be recalled that just two weeks ago Chief Inengite Nitabai, President Goodluck Jonathan's cousin, was similarly snatched in his hometown of Otuoke, again Ogbia LGA.

It has been learnt that the woman was snatched at about 9pm in her home by the gunmen who whisked her away through the waterways at the back of her house.

Confirming the incident Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, JTF Media Coordinator, said: "The command has activated the security network on both land and waterways in conjunction with other security agencies to locate and track down the kidnappers."
