How Undergraduate Won Miss Olokun 2015 Beauty Pageant
Away from militancy and agitation, Otunba Dr Gani Adams organizes beauty pageant.
In the last 13 years, the national coordinator, Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Otunba Gani Adams, has been in the forefront of promoting the Yoruba and African culture through his various cultural advocacy initiatives spreading the gospel even beyond the shores of Nigeria.
One of such is the Olokun Festival foundation, where he serves as the Chief Promoter. Recently, another edition of the annual Olokun festival was held and among the activities lined up for the celebration is the Miss Olokun Beauty Pageant, where a lineup of 14 beauties contested for the coveted Miss Olokun crown.

Being a cultural themed beauty pageant and that olokun means the goddess of water, contestants first traditional olokun outfit all dressed in white.They later appear in lovely evening gowns.
At the end of a keenly contested pageant where brain, beauty and the knowledge of our culture were tested, beautiful 20-year-old Miss Onayemi Olamde, a student of Babcock University, Ogun state beats others to win the crown.
Miss Oduneye Olamide is the first runner up while Miss Foluso Amos is the second runner up.
Making the list of judges are Nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi, seasoned journalist Segun Ajiboye, Pastor Sola, Seun Aransiola and former face of Delta soap, Abigail Joy also known as Pink Lady.
The night was spiced up by many hip hop artists include Doyinsola, Pepenazi, Mijin, TM Naija, among others while gospel singer, Lanre Teriba popularly known as Atorise closed the event with sensational gospel lyrics.
Guests at the event include Otunba Gani Adams and his beautiful wife, Erelu Mojisola Adams, BON award organizer, Seun Oloketuyi; Next Movie Star coordinator, Sola Fajobi; Muyiwa Osinaike, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Lambert Dike, with love from Brazil is Naryha who bears the Yoruba name Ifatoun, Eze Ndigbo of Ojo, Actors Guild of Nigeria Lagos state chairman, Don Pedro, Victor Mobolaji and others.
