Jonathan Writes Letter To Obasanjo

The immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan, has written to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, seeking blessing for his next public engagement: The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.

In the letter obtained by Sahara Reporters, Jonathan addresses the former president as “Dear Baba” and informs him that after his handing-over of power to President Muhammadu Buhari, he proceeded on a “long deserved break.”

Jonathan also promises to spend the rest of his life making the world better place.

“Now well-rested, I am back to work to continue to serve and dedicate my life to promoting peace and prosperity for all,” he wrote.

The ex-president reveals that has set up an office in Bayelsa state where he can be reached.

“Furthermore, I will be devoting the rest of my life and energy to making the world a better place. I am currently finalizing efforts to set up The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation. More details on the work of the Foundation will be available at the launch, which I believe should take place by the 3rd quarter of 2016.”

Meanwhile, Goodluck Jonathan has been appointed as a leader of a 33-nation observer mission to monitor the upcoming election in Tanzania.

The elections which are scheduled for October 25, will see Jonathan lead the commonwealth observer team, while the former president of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, will lead the African Union team.
