Nigeria Police Warn Celebrities Against Flaunting Their Wealth

 The Nigeria Police Force has alerted Nigerian celebrities who flaunt their expensive acquisitions on social media to the threats to their security.

The Lagos Police Command spokesperson DSP Joseph Offor said celebrities showing off their wealth on social media is a security risk. He advised them to be more cautious.

He said: "It's not advisable for anyone, whether you're a celebrity or not, to post your personal acquisitions on social media. Such a thing is very risky. And those doing that will only end up putting the police on their toes."

Celebrities show off their latest cars, new homes and even children.

A stand up comedian Baba De Baba two months ago had warned celebrities to stop flaunting their private lives on social media. He said Nigerians were copying their American counterparts forgetting that there are no witches in America unlike in Nigeria. The comedian singled out Tiwa Savage and her husband Tee Billz and warned them over the publicly showing off of their new born baby.
