FCT - A large number of Abuja Administration staff have on Monday initiated a protest against non-payment of their allowances.

The workers barricaded entrance to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCDA) secretariat in Wuse 2 area of Abuja, sang solidarity songs and demanded sack of the FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed.

Armed police officers arrived at the scene, and there were reports that they may use teargas to disperse the protesters.
