Fire Started At The WRPC On Tuesday Morning

Tuesday, October 22, Delta State -- There was a fire outbreak at Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) on Tuesday morning.

The fire started at around 11 a.m. at the gas section. The fire was put out in about 40 minutes.

The management of the company, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, have sent a distress signal to the state fire service and companies that have private firefighting equipment to join in the efforts to tame the inferno.
