Lamido, Son’s Trial Holds In Kano

The police authorities in Kano on July 9 have beefed up security ahead of the arraignment of ex-governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido and his son before Justice Riman Fatu over graft allegations.
The police rolled out tanks with heavily armed personnel within and outside the Kano Federal High Court.
It was also said that a rational stretch of the road leading to the court has been shut down to traffic, while those permitted into the grounds were completely frisked.

It would be recalled that the former governor and his two sons - Aminu and Mustapha-were picked up in Abuja on July 7.
