Osinbajo Dismissed From Buhari’s Security Meeting
The Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday was reportedly prevented from attending President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with the National Security Adviser on the orders of the president.
According to Trent, a government source who pleaded anonymous said that the vice president was refused ‘security clearance’ to attend the meeting because of security reasons by the president.
The source said, President Buhari was probably thinking it was too early to bring in the vice president into the first security briefing.
President Muhammadu Buhari on June 1,had a meeting with the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki . The meeting which lasted for hours, was part of “debriefing process” and it was done in the absence of the vice president.
Meanwhile both the president and his vice are yet to move into the Presidential Villa, 6 days after their inauguration. Buhari’s senior special assistant on media and publicity Mallam Garba Shehu said, the president could not move in because renovations are still going on.
