Nigerian Asks Buhari To Reduce JAMB Cut Off Mark

A Nigerian with the twitter handle @nazer_usman, has asked President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari to reduce the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut off mark by 5%.

The JAMB cut off mark is one of the requirement for admission into tertiary institutions. The cut off mark for most polytechnics and colleges of education is 150 but it varies based on the school, course and the year of entry.

Over the years Nigerian students have struggled to make the cut off mark for tertiary institutions.

Many analysts have attributed this development to the low standard of education that has bedeviled the educational sector.
