26 Corp Members To Be Dismissed From Camp
Reports just coming in from Jigawa State, indicate that over 30 corp members hoping to pass out in five days’ time are having an unpleasant morning.
The state's Orientation Camp Director, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, disclosed that some corp members were caught in the act of indiscipline and found guilty at the camp court. It was gathered that no fewer than 24 corp members after facing the panel were dismissal, while 5 others were handed warning letters.

According to the affected corp members, especially those to be dismissed, the females among them alleged that, they were sleeping in the hostel while camp activities were going on at the parade ground. They claimed to have done that because they were feeling sick and weak.
As announced on the parade ground at about 6a.m today by the camp judge, the corpers with warning letters would remain in camp, while those to be dismissed will return their kits, transport and bicycle allowance (N2, 500) before they leave the camp.
However, orientation camp for Batch A stream one corp members is expected to be concluded on May 25, 2015.
Meanwhile, the state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Nasarawa state, Mrs Christy I Uba, has responded to the alleged news of maltreatment of a corp member at the NYSC camp.
