The First Lady was absent during the Good Friday and Easter Sunday services held inside the Aso Villa Chapel. She did not also join her husband for the funeral service held in honour of his top assistant, Oronto Douglas, in Bayelsa state.
According to the statement, issued by Ayo Adewuyi, the First Lady's media aide, Dame Patience was in Congo where she took part in the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Congo Assistance Foundation.
