INEC Restores Hacked Website
The official website of the Independent National Electoral commission was hacked by a group of individuals who identifed themselves as "TeaM Nigerian Cyber Army" but after almost two hours down the website was restored.
When it was hacked, on opening the official INEC website which leads to the homepage, it will be noticed that the site has been taken over by cyberterrorists who mocked the security protecting the website.
The written text message on the website said:
Sorry xD Your Site has been STAMPED by TeaM Nigerian Cyber Army
FEEL SOME SHAME ADMIN!!
Security is just an illusion
Remember US :D GREETINGS OF PEACE TO CITIZEN OF NIGERIA FROM TEAM NCA
NIGERIANS No Body Can Give You Freedom No Body Can Give You Equality Or Justice If You Are A Man/Woman YOU TAKE IT

But the website was eventually restored either by the terrorists or the admin of the electoral body (unconfirmed).

Browsing through the website, there was no abnormalities as the site has returned to its former fold. Other major media platforms have also reported that the website is back on track.
It is yet to be confirmed if this is a way of rigging the elections or just a ploy by the attackers to make fun of the elections.
