I Remain Irrevocably Committed To The APC – Atiku
Ex-vice-president and one of the stakeholders of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar, denies leaving the party for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said that his loyalty to the APC and the success of its presidential aspirant, Muhammadu Buhari, and other candidates of the party in the 2015 general polls is firm and never been up for agreement.
The ex-vice-president made the statement against the background of media news of his supposed return to the fold of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I remain irrevocably committed to the APC, as I promised in my concession speech at the conclusion of our party’s presidential primaries, and has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of our great party at the general elections,” he stated.
A comment by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja on Tuesday, March 10th, said that news of Atiku’s alleged return to the ruling party or any other party is the handwork of mischief makers based on playing Atiku against other leaders of the APC.
Atiku added that for the shunning of uncertainty he is unambiguously committed to the unity of the opposition party and that it will take more than the antics of mischief makers to break that bond.
Ex-vise-president stated that his return from Adamawa, where he met and resigned disagreeing camps within the party, towards ensuring victory for the APC, has fluent evidence of this seriousness.
The comment recalled that Atiku now supports the financial operations of the APC in many states, in most cases as a sole financier.

“I have backed my words and commitment with my resources to ensure that I bring my influence and support to bear on our party’s march to victory at all levels in the general election. That should be enough to shut up mischief makers bent on derailing the APC’s success at the March 28 and April elections,” he said.
The Atiku Media Office discovered that as one of Nigeria’s astute politicians and businessmen, there may be overtures from across political divides to the ex-vice-president, but insisted that Atiku Abubakar has publicly confirmed his commitment to the APC and has privately rebuffed the attacks from all sides.
The news informed today, March 10th, that some chieftains of the ruling party are supposedly putting pressure on Atiku Abubakar to dump the opposition and endorse President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid.
Atiku has lost party primaries last year to Buhari, but promised to support party's candidate in any case.
