PDP Presidential Campaign Rally In Gombe Bombed
The PDP presidential rally today in Gombe state today went sour as a bomb was detonated outside the rally stadium.
Eyewitnesses close to the scene told Sahara reporters that the bomb was detonated in a tricycle station along Abubakar Habu Hashidu Road some 200 meters from the stadium.

Reuters are reporting that one bystander was killed and seven other were injured by the explosion.
One Mohammed Bolari who was present at the rally confirmed that the blast had gone off, three minutes after Jonathan left.
He said: "The president had just passed the parking lot and we were trailing behind his convoy when the explosion happened".
One local journalist told AFP that this blast has led to unrest in Gombe, with angry youth attacking supporters of Mr Jonathan's People's Democratic Party (PDP).
"They were shouting and denouncing the president's visit which they blamed for the attack," he added.

UPDATE
Hospital sources now say that three people were killed and 18 other injured, some may be critical.
Gombe town had been on thorough lock down since this morning as security men had stopped the movement of people in the city.
Two seperate explosion had killed five people yesterday and injured many others.
