APC Alleges Plan To Postpone General Elections

Nigeria's main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised the alarm over what it describes as "fresh moves by anti-democratic forces to use the courts to postpone or scuttle next month’s general elections".

According to Premium Times, the party called on the judiciary to protect the nation’s democracy and tasked Nigerians on the need to resist every attempt by the forces behind the plan to gain the upper hand in their plot.

It will be recalled that the director of media and publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, had asked Buhari to withdraw from the election and to apologise to Nigerians for lying under oath.
