Arewa Youth Integrity Forum Promises Jonathan 20M Votes
In order to make sure President Goodluck Jonathan remains in Aso Rock in 2015, the Arewa Youth Integrity Forum has promised to mobilise 20 million votes across the 19 northern states for him.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday, signed by its National President, Hamid Usman, a copy obtained by ThisDay.

Usman, who described Jonathan as a statesman who is sympathetic to the plight of his followers, also lauded the president for the courage and bravery he demonstrated by visiting Nigerian military personnel in Maiduguri, Borno State, saying it as a bold step.
"Travelling to Maiduguri which is seen as a hotbed for crisis is not only commendable but exemplary for all intending leaders," he said.
Usman said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate had proven his worth and deserves support from all Nigerians, and he reiterated the Forum's support for President Jonathan.

"He has what it takes to drive Nigeria to the next level, having defeated the local content of insurgency and ready to fight the foreign elements that have joined insurgents to make Nigeria ungovernable for the citizenry," he said.
It would be recalled that the youth wing of the Arewa Consultative Forum had earlier endorsed Senate President David Mark as its candidate for the 2015 Presidential election.
