Updates On APC Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election aimed at choosing the governorship candidates in the 2015 polls is currently in process.

In Kwara, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has been declared winner.

In Enugu State, the state chapter of the party has adopted Okey Ezea as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2015 election. In Yobe State, APC delegates have endorsed Governor Ibrahim Gaidam as a guber candidate.

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in the state with 4662 votes.

Olorogun Otega Emerhor was on Thursday  declared winner of the Delta governorship primaries of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Governor Ibikunle Amosun became the winning candidate for Ogun State following governorship primaries of the party that returned him.

The earlier endorsed Rivers State candidate, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, was yesterday formally elected with 3,773 votes.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State emerged the APC’s governorship candidate in the state.

Speaker Aminu Tambuwal wins Sokoto APC gubarnatorial primaries with a total number of 3,466 votes .

The former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umana Okon Umana, wins i Akwa Ibom with 2,444 votes.

Alhaji Abubakar Sani Belo in Niger.

Abdulaziz Yari got the ticket in Zamfara State.

In Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, picked by the APC leader Bola Tinubu, emerged the winner.

Nasir El-Rufai emerged the winner in Kaduna.

Mohammed Jibrilla, aka Bindow, wins the APC governorship primaries in Adamawa, with 1880 votes.

Former speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly Simon Lalong prevailed in Plateau.

Dangerous moments

In Lagos, 10 aspirants left venue midway into voting, it is still unclear why.

Uyo, Akwa Ibom, was rocked by the protest as the former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came with armed convoys and forcefully opened the gates of the Township stadium for their supporters.

As troubles in Akwa Ibom continued, there was a gunshot heard towards the gates of the stadium as people were fighting to access the venue. However the situation was finally taken under control.

A tragedy hit Kaduna as at least one person died after a Dangote cement truck veered off the road.
