Fayose Criticises ‘Luxury’ Govt Lodge
Peter Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State Governor, has denounced former Governor Kayode Fayemi for a “luxury governor’s lodge”, which costs N3.3 billion.
Fayose mentioned this during the swearing-in of the newly chosen secretary to the state government, Dr Modupe Alade and his special assistants yesterday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
According to him the money should have been spent on Ekiti people, to make their lives better.

Ayodele Fayose said his heart wasnearly failedhim when he got to the new Government Lodge.
The house charges N3.3 billion. It was firstly given for N2.3 billion and later increased to N2.7 billion. N640 million was used to obtain fittings and furniture.
“And N150million will be used for maintenance annually. Ekiti cannot sustain this and we have to do something about it.
“How can a governor live in such a house when the masses are living in poverty?” he said.
He promised to respect the 35 per cent affirmative action for women in honour of political actions in his administration.

The Ekiti governor said Mrs. Alade’s appointment was an evidence of the respect he solidarities women.
His administration would recompense devotion and hard work to endorse what he named the “culture of brotherliness and fellow feeling”, promised Fayose.
During a thanksgiving service held in his honour at the Deeper Life Campground in Ado Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose allegedly laid flat on the floor, prostrating in gratitude to God.
It would be recalled the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Peter Fayose, was on October 16, swore in, for the second time, as governor for the next four years.
He was declared as the winner of the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State in 2014.
