Ayodele Fayose Takes The Duties Of Ekiti Governor
The swearing-in ceremony of the governor-elect of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, takes place at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, in Ado-Ekiti, where thousands of people and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gathered to witness the event.
Meanwhile, the outgoing governor, Kayode Fayemi, bows out, thanks the people of Ekiti for their support.
Public figures from all the spheres of life were moving into the state capital, Ado-Ekiti, in their hundreds for participating in today's inauguration ceremony.

The Chairman of PDP, Adamu Muazu, the governors of Akwa Ibom, Katsina, Cross River, Bauchi, Jigawa, Kaduna, Abia, Kebbi, Delta and Ondo States and the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, were present at the ceremony.

Governor Fayose, in his inaugural speech, said: “I am blessed and it is evident that God is with me.”
“History is being made and it will take a while to surpass,” Ekiti Governor-elect added.
It was said earlier that more than 1,000 prophets, pastors and Muslim clerics are expected to go with him into the government house to perform spiritual cleansing for him.
Peter Ayodele Fayose was a governor of Ekiti State in Nigeria from 2003 to 2006, and was declared as the winner of the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti State in 2014.
