2015 Elections: Buhari Postpones Declaration

It would be recalled that Buhari expressed confidence about running for presidency in 2015 elections and vowed to declare on October 8 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reasoning his decision, the ex-leader explained that he was sure Nigerians would vote out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and promised "a better alternative" from the major opposition party.
However, in a press statement released October 7, one day ahead of the scheduled declaration, the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization said the event was postponed for 1 week, SaharaReporters makes known.
It means the announcement will take place October 15 in Eagle Square in Abuja. It was not explained why there was a sudden shift in a date.
Meanwhile, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, operating on the basis of the APC, declared on September 24, saying he would fix Nigeria if elected.
