5 Things You Probably Never Knew About P-Square

Talented and multiple award-winning Nigerian pop duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, are currently promoting their new album which drops on the 12th of September.

They dropped by at the Beat 99.9 FM and were interviewed by Toolz on the Mid-day Show.

In the interview, they talked about their forthcoming album, their latest single with TI 'Ejeajo'.

The duo took their fans down memory lane, revealing the struggles they had to go through before they became famous.

Below are things you probably never knew about your favourite artistes.

1. Paul's former profession

It is hard to believe but Paul Okoye used to be an electrician. According to him, he used to fix fans, boilers and electrical things, “but there was no AC that time so I can’t fix that one,” he joked.

2. Mango dealer

A surprising and cute fact about Peter is that he used to climb the trees in their school to steal mangoes. Then the fruits were being sold.

3. Risky habit

Peter used to gamble. No big surprise here. Life is a game. Successful person often equals 'a player'. He said: "The biggest gamble I took was saying we should move to Lagos."

4. Brothers remain brothers

Both of them now have beautiful wives. But, they live apart from their spouses! During the interview, they revealed that they (brothers) still live together, while their spouses stay in different places in Lagos. The twins also added that by December 2014, they would be finally moving to their separate houses (to stay with their wives).

5. Marriage puts boundaries on Paul

Paul disclosed that marriage has made him more responsible and has even affected him ‘artistically’ as he can no longer do certain things and be as free as he used to be.

He said: "I can’t take a picture without a shirt now, I’ll use a tank top instead but that doesn’t apply to Peter sha."

Speaking on their new album, P-Square said they have a collabo with Don Jazzy titled ‘Collabo’ and they also featured Awilo and Jermaine Jackson on the album.

They urged their fans to watch out for the new album.

Some months ago, the brothers were reported to be having issues with their elder brother, Jude, who doubles as their manager. They however reassured their fans that all has been resolved now.
