Unknown Gunmen Kill Former Orderly To Ex-Gov. Goje In Gombe
On Friday, unknown gunmen shot dead the former Orderly to ex-Gov. Danjuma Goje of Gombe State, Insp. Rilwanu Gadzama.
A source told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the gunmen shot the police officer who was on a motorcycle at Hammadu Kafi area of Gombe metropolis at about 3.30 p.m.
The source said the killers, who were riding a motorcycle, abandoned it immediately after the deceased was shot.
Contacted on phone, Gombe State commissioner of Police, Mr. Sule Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said he had not been given the details of what led to the killing of the officer.
"They called me and told me of the incident but I have not got the details," Mohammed said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gadzama was the officer in charge of Surveillance at the Pantami Police Division in Gombe metropolis.
