A Nigerian international, Christantus Uche, was involved in a car crash on his way to Getafe training, sparking concerns among family and teammates.
It was gathered that the 22-year-old rammed the vehicle into a wall, leaving it significantly damaged, before a tow truck took it away.
This comes at the time the Super Eagles star saw his potential move to the English Premier League collapse.

It was gathered that both Getafe and Wolverhampton Wanderers had agreed on the transfer, but the player could not agree on personal terms with the English team.
Getafe head coach Jose Bordalas disclosed that the midfielder trained normally ahead of their league game against Real Sociedad.
It's been a tumultuous week for the footballer who remains at the centre of a chaotic situation that has gripped the Spanish club.
Meanwhile, club president Angel Torres denied meeting Uche’s agent, but the agent suggested that he could have seen an impostor.
It was gathered that players at the club chased the player during a training session, urging him to remain with the team.
While that was at play, the Nigerian star's car was seen being towed away, with visible damage.
Bordalas addressed the situation in the press conference. The tactician said via Score Nigeria:
"Honestly, I’m not going to talk about signings and departures. Our president knows the needs of the club and the team.
"If (Uche) stays, it’s good news for everyone. He’s been training normally. If nothing happens, he’ll be with us by tomorrow.”
His potential deal with Wolves has been put on hold, amid reports that his agent is willing to halt the transfer.
This decision will deal a huge blow to Getafe as the Spanish club is under pressure to sell one of their big earners by Monday to comply with LaLiga’s financial regulations.
In the meantime, another Premier League club, Leeds United, are now reported to be keen to sign him.
Getafe’s president, Angel Torres, confirms that the only reason he’s selling Christantus Uche is because of La Liga:
“We have to sell. We are ruining La Liga by continuously selling.
"I am forced to sell him, I have no other choice. Tomorrow he undergoes the medical and the deal is signed with wolves."
