Alozie played a crucial role, featuring in all six matches and scoring a late winner against South Africa in the semi-final to help Nigeria reach the final, as noted by CAF Online.

She spent some time in Nigeria, during which she and her teammate attended banquets hosted by the presidency and other supporting brands.

Alozie scored winning goal for Houston Dash

Alozie, like many other Falcons players, have returned to their club side and integrated into the team after their successful campaign in Morocco.

As noted by Houston Dynamo, Alozie marked her return with a 93rd-minute winning goal for Dash away against NJ/NY Gotham FC in the National Women's Soccer League.

The versatile player came off the bench and, within nine minutes, latched on to a through ball to score the winner, though she appeared offside but was not flagged.

Fans noted that the goal was offside, and a few others realised that she plays as a forward for her club despite playing as a right-back for the Super Falcons.

A few others raised concern about how the commentator pronounced her name.

“What’s Alozia? Why do these people keep doing this, making no effort at all? How did Alozie become Alozia?”

“Why is Lianne Sanderson pronouncing Alozie like she isn't African?”

Alozie was not the only Falcons star to mark her return to her club with an attacking contribution. Her friend Esther Okoronkwo assisted on her return to AFC Toronto.

Okoronkwo, who starred in the WAFCON final, provided an incredible chest pass to set up Kaylee Hunter for the team's second and winning goal.

Alozie treated to heroic welcome

Legit.ng previously reported how Houston Dash welcomed Alozie after returning to the United States following WAFCON success with Nigeria.

The club shared a video of her arrival with the caption “a champion's welcome”. She had her winners' medal with her on her arrival.
