Depot Owners Announce New Petrol Prices, Rival Dangote Refinery

Private depot owners have decided to slash their Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol price as they compete with Dangote Petroleum Refinery for customers.
New data shows that their ex-depot price for petrol at major depots now ranges between N820 and N870 per litre.

Ex-depot price refers to the price at which depot owners sell petroleum products to fuel marketers and retail outlets.
Market analysts expect the ex-depot price changes to impact petrol pump prices at filling stations nationwide.
New petrol prices at depots
Data from petroleumprice.ng showed Dangote Refinery recorded one of the biggest drops, cutting its price to N820 per litre.
This represents a N30 or 3.53% reduction from its previous level of N850.
MRS TinCan also reduced its depot prices to N849 from the previous rate of N860, while Ardova reduced to N850, a decrease of N2 or 0.23%.
Zamson slashed its petrol price to N855, a N1 or 0.12% reduction on Tuesday.
Another depot is Parker and A&E as both cut prices to N853, a fall of N2 or 0.23% and N1 or 0.12%, respectively.

Other changes recorded include Mao as N1 reduced its price to N850, Alkanes dropped its price by N2 to N855, while TSL, Sigmund, and Ever all priced at N860 after reducing by N3 or 0.35%.
Rainoil Delta kept its rate at N856, and Nipco Lagos listed N855. Menj and A.A. Rano each held steady at N850.
Sobaz fell the most after Dangote, down N12 to N858, a drop of 1.38%.
Zone 4 cut its price to N855, a decrease of 0.35%, Bovas reduced by N10 to N850, a decline of 1.16%, and Matrix Warri declined to N856, down N2 or 0.23%.
Pinnacle recorded a slight increase to N851.50, up N0.50 or 0.06%.
Aiteo dropped to N850, a fall of N1 or 0.12%, while Matrix PH fell N12 to N858, a decrease of 1.38%. Matrix Lagos listed N852 with no change data.
Northwest, Bono, Sahara, and Fynefield petrol is at N855 to N860, while Mainland is now offering the highest price at N870 per litre.
NNPC's new petrol prices
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that THE NNPC Limited has decided to increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for Nigerians.
Checks showed that in Lagos, NNPC retail outlets are dispensing fuel at N895 per litre on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Within a few days, NNPC has made three retail pump price adjustments, with changes also occurring at depots.
