The 2025/26 Premier League will kick off this weekend, with 20-time winners Liverpool trading tackles with Bournemouth on Friday night, August 15.

The Reds won the 2024/25 English top-flight title with 84 points, and Arsenal finished in second place with 74 points.

Leeds United and Burnley gained automatic promotion from the Championship, while Sunderland beat Sheffield United in the play-off final to secure the third spot.

On Saturday, August 16, the action is set to pick up already.

Aston Villa will take on Newcastle, Brighton and Hove Albion tackles Fulham, Sunderland faces West Ham United, and UEFA Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur meet Burnley, while former champions Manchester City will face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to SkySports, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, FIFA Club World Cup winners Chelsea face Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest battles Brentford, while the star match is between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford that afternoon.

Newly promoted Leeds United will trade tackles with Everton on Monday, August 18, per ESPN.

Nigerian seer predicts 2025/26 Premier League winner

A prophetess, Bright Ndibunwa, popularly known as Bright The Seer, has predicted the winner of the 2025/26 English Premier League already.

In a trending video on TikTok, the prophetess claimed the spirit of God also showed her the winner of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

"The spirit of God is showing me that in the coming season, the Premier League and Champions League will be won by the Leeds football team nobody saw coming."

After she shared her vision, football fans have questioned Bright The Seer over her knowledge of the game.

A TikTok user challenged the prophetess to name the teams participating in the English Premier League.
